Meadowbank 1940’s House Make-Over
Meadowbank, Auckland
A family with three young kids needed to upgrade their existing house to cater for their important needs – all kids to have their own bedroom, additional living/ TV room, large open plan kitchen with an extra multi-use desk space and lots and lots of space for playing.
The outdoor area needed to work hard too with a pergola for outdoor dining and the biggest lawn play area possible – all with easy access and visibility from inside.
The extension areas are not massive but the reconfigured roof makes the most of the good bones of the house and gives extra height to the living spaces.
A few design options were considered to ensure the most desired outcome for the clients (renders are of one of the earlier designs).
